A leading expert in artificial intelligence, he taught the first AI studio art courses at both Brown University and The Rhode Island School of Design. His current classes at RISD include Art and Artificial Intelligence, Digital Culture: How Computers Took Over the World, and Text Transformed: Writing in the Age of AI.

He earned an M.F.A. in Digital Language Arts and a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing from Brown University.
